Adidas ARROW HIT – the new apex predator of padel rackets

by Pete Mills

Adidas is starting 2026 with a bang. It’s refreshed its entire line with a stunning new cosmetic look, but the real headline-grabber for me is the introduction of the all-new ARROW HIT range, in particular the Attk and Ctrl models. These rackets are engineered for advanced players who demand absolute control but also hanker after a touch more power. They are equipped with what adidas is calling an ‘intelligent balance system’ (IBS), which allows players to adjust their racket’s weight distribution via two lateral rails and movable weights.

The ARROW HIT series delivers three technological updates:

I prefer a lot of control, so I found the benefit of the Intelligent Balance System most clearly in the Ctrl model. It’s a beautiful racket with a larger, centred sweet spot and the precision you’d expect from a round head, but the sliding weights enable me to boost the power when I want it.

  • ASC – Adidas Signature Carbon. You’ll spot the distinctive adidas logo woven into the ASC fibre, which provides extra rigidity while looking incredibly sharp.
  • Adidas Muscle Power System. Located in the racket throat, this gives improved stability by reducing frame movement.
  • Intelligent Balance System. This all-new built-in weight customisation system is what really sets the two top-end rackets apart from the rest of the market. ARROW HIT Attk and Ctrl feature weights incorporated in the side of the racket that slide and fix rather than screwing in, making quick adjustments simple. You could even fine-tune it mid-session, instantly shifting the racket’s balance! If you want more raw power, move the weights toward the top of the head. For greater control and manoeuvrability, slide the weights closer to the racket handle. This versatility is a game-changer for me and gives the best padel racket customisation experience I’ve yet seen.

Both rackets are designed for advanced, aggressive players, but they’re more forgiving than the super-stiff adidas Metalbone range. These carbon fibre rackets feel more player-friendly, making elite performance accessible to a wider range of players.

Comparisons

If you like the sound of the ARROW HIT Attk, try comparing it with the powerful Bullpadel Vertex Geo or the aggressive Nox AT10 18K Attack. If you’re drawn to the ARROW HIT Ctrl, put it up against the Babolat Counter Viper. Or if you’ve enjoyed the 2025 adidas Cross IT, the Ctrl is a more refined, adjustable version with a major boost in usable power.

Updated Adidas Drive range

If you’re not yet playing at an advanced level yet, adidas also has some excellent options for you. The updated 2026 Drive range has had an impressive makeover and looks absolutely great. In fact, there’s not a racket in the 2026 range that hasn’t had a style tweak so they’re all well worth a look. And let’s also acknowledge the calibre of the adidas RX ball. It’s still one of the fastest on the market, offering great durability, control and speed.
