ASICS’ new SonicSmash padel shoes
ASICS has launched its latest padel shoe, the SonicSmash FF – which features new technology specifically engineered for padel.
The lightweight shoe, designed with help from World No 8 padel player Coki Nieto, features a padel-specific outer sole with ASICS’ X-Groove technology to improve agility on court through superior flexibility and traction for various directional turns.
Its herringbone pattern provides grip, a Flytefoam midsole increases comfort for a lightweight, cushioned feel and two circular pivot points at the front of the shoe support players’ dynamic movements.
SonicSmash FF are available in green/blue for men and white/guava for women. RRP £125.
Coki Nieto, who will be wearing the show during Premier Padel tournaments, said: “Padel requires immediate and fast changes in direction, which this shoe helps me achieve. The new outsole is highly responsive, giving me the grip to push off and accelerate, and the lightweight sole makes the speed feel effortless.”
