Pure Padel’s star fundraiser

Stars from the worlds of sport, television and comedy united for a 12 hour ‘padelathon’ at Pure Padel’s new Manchester city centre indoor venue, raising £21,000 to support children and their families impacted by blood cancer.

Pure Padel founder Sammy Arora joined former footballers, actors, TV presenters and reality TV stars for the event, which was supported by the city’s JMW Solicitors. The company has formed a dedicated padel legal team to assist the growth of the game.

Funds raised from the padelathon are going to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, contributing to the ongoing work of the ATICUS network to benefit children and families impacted by blood cancer in the North West.

Those demonstrating their mastery of the sport included ex-Premiership footballers Danny Simpson, Danny Drinkwater, Wes Morgan and Marlon Harewood; Keaton Jennings, Lancashire Cricket Club captain; Ashley Taylor-Dawson of Hollyoaks, and brothers Ryan (Coronation Street, Dancing on Ice) and Scott (Love Island, now entrepreneur) Thomas. 🎾
