Dates for two padel series running through 2025 have been announced – the Legends Padel Tour and the UK Padel County Championships series. The Bandeja reports.
The Legends Padel Tour is a new addition to the UK padel calendar and caters specifically for players aged 59 years and over. It has been launched by Sally Fisher, supported by Nicky Horn (both GB Seniors players) and includes coaching and tournaments in England and overseas.
Its first events – a men’s 59 years+ and 65 years+ training event at Middlesbrough Padel Club tied in with an LTA tournament for that age group, plus women’s 59 years+ training, again tied in with an LTA event, sold out within hours.
The sold-out ladies event is on October 31st at Rocket Padel in Ilford, Essex. It’s being organising in collaboration with the LTA and WIMX. Twenty players aged 59 years+ are signed up for coaching from an all-female team, including newly qualified padel coaches building their experience under the supervision of GB Seniors and qualified coaches Helen Crook and Jo Ward. Steve Yeardley, the LTA’s newly appointed Padel Manager, plans to attend.
Sally told The Bandeja: “We will have a broad range of player levels, from GB team members to social players, so it should be inspiring for all.”
She decided to put the tour together following the success of the Legends and Phoenix Cup tournaments which launched last year and very much proved the point that older players want to participate in tournaments geared to their age groups.
“I decided we could do more and so have launched a whole tour calendar of events,” said Sally. “Nicky is running it with me so that we can do even more and we will be adding to the calendar, aiming for an event every month. Our first two events sold our in hours and we have more than 100 players already keen to get involved.”
The tour is open to all players, male and female, aged 59 years+. To join its WhatsApp group e-mail Nicky Horn. 🎾
County Championship series
UK Padel has released the dates for its 2025 County Championships series, which will all be playes at Rocket Padel in Bristol:
🎾 Over 50s: April 26- 27
🎾 Over 40s: June 21-22
🎾 Over 60s: September 6-7

The 2024 series was well-supported by competitors and sponsors, with the Over 50s tournament in March being the largest ever age-group padel tournament held in the UK. The Open, coming up in November, looks likely to set the bar for the biggest ever single-event padel tournament in the UK (eclipsing last year’s Open, which had more than 170 competitors).
UK Padel CEO Nick Baker said: “We are delighted to announce the 2025 dates and to be continuing to host these highly enjoyable and widely supported events at Rocket Padel.”
