The North West of England continues to grow its reputation as a thriving padel hub with the opening of Cheshire’s latest venue – three world-class courts at The Hook Club in the grounds of Mottram Hall Hotel.
The £400,000 facility, within Cheshire’s ‘golden triangle’ of Alderley Edge, Prestbury, and Wilmslow, is named after the padel shot ‘El Gancho’ and aims to deliver a top-notch player experience with fully licensed clubhouse, integrated sound system, patio and changing facilities.
Players can access its coaching academy, with Jon Cain joining as the club’s coach coordinator working with padel professionals Sam Brown and Mike Rouse. Club padel manager is Joanne Patterson. Courts bookings are via Playtomic.
The Hook Club is the first venue from The Padel Group. Director Morgan Davies said: “Our primary aim was to create a padel club that offers an unmatched player experience. We have invested a significant amount in this project to ensure that The Hook Club stands out on the UK padel scene. I am very proud of what we have achieved in the beautiful surroundings of Champneys Mottram Hall. Padel is a sport that’s here to stay and we have created a fantastic environment for players of all abilities to play padel and socialise.”
The venue boasts three Superpanoramic courts designed and manufactured by Spanish-based Padelgest, providers of the first courts to the World Padel Tour. The Padelgest Superpanoramic court is a professional standard court with unobscured views from the side and rear.
The Hook is open 6am-10pm Monday to Friday; 7am-9pm on Saturdays and 8am-8pm on Sundays.Follow the club on Instagram. 🎾
