Over 60’s county champs

Rocket Padel, Bristol, recently hosted the final of the UK Padel Over 60s County Championships.

The championships – like their more junior Over 40s edition in June and Over 50s in March, were another record breaking tournament, concluding at Rocket Padel, Bristol, home of the 2024 tournament series.

More than 110 competitors battled it out over the weekend, with counties represented from all over the UK – from East Scotland in the north to the Channel Islands in the south, and everywhere in between.

Gloucestershire again had a strong showing at the championships, winning both the Mixed and the Ladies competitions in hard-fought divisions. The Men’s competition was won by newbies Durham & Cleveland, making their inaugural appearance at the County Championships.

Thanks to our ever increasing roster of committed tournament sponsors (ACT Sports, Back in Action, Hexa Padel and Slazenger Padel).  And thanks also to our party contributors Shandy Shack and Laylo, who continue to help our Saturday night players’ party go off with a bang.”
