Sixteen mixed and 16 mens teams are set to compete this weekend in what is being billed as the UK’s biggest charity padel event so far.
Padel-London has teamed up with the newly opened Padel Hub in Slough for the competition on Saturday, which is raising money for children’s charity Barnardo’s.
Group stages will lead into knock-out matches taking place throughout the day. Spectators are welcome.
Uniting
Padel-London founder David Segura-Pravia described Barnardo’s as a charity ‘close to our hearts’, adding: ““Barnardo’s mirror our sentiments. Every day it strives to change the narratives of children who, through no fault of their own, are born into families facing challenges. These children deserve love, care, opportunities and, above all, a chance to rise above their circumstances. We’re uniting our padel community to make a tangible difference.”
Padel Hub founder Charles Winterton said he was ‘thrilled’ to be hosting the tournament: “This event is more than a competition—it’s a chance to celebrate padel, connect with the community and support Barnardo’s mission to transform young lives. Join us for an exciting day that combines sportsmanship, camaraderie and making a meaningful impact.” 🎾
