Could this be the ultimate Valentine’s present to yourself – the world’s first hexagonal padel racket. The STIGA Sports Cybershape was launched yesterday for pre-orders, with shipping from the Swedish brand starting on February 5th. The Bandeja reports.
The Cybershape turns the thinking behind padel racket shapes on its head and in doing so delivers a racket with 20% more sweetspot and a shape that we think can only help dig those hard-to-get-to balls out of the corners.
For STIGA its further development of the Cybershape line, with rackets already launched in this shape for table tennis (STIGA’s heritage is in making table tennis bats).
The Cybershape padel racket has been developed in conjunction with coach Daniel Dios, a former professional on the Padel Pro Tour and former coach of the Swedish national padel team.
Danny said: “This racket takes the concepts of sweetspot and power to a whole new dimension thanks entirely to its hexagonal shape. The ability to reach balls close to the ground or the walls was probably the most surprising thing to me when I first tried it. Every shot feels fantastic and you can hit hard without compromising on technique.
“After testing Cybershape for almost a year, I find it very hard to imagine going back to my old round rackets. It takes a lot of courage to create something new in the way STIGA Sports has done. I am incredibly impressed with them and extremely proud to have been involved in the development of such an outstanding product.”

Blistering acceleration
John Bandstigen, Product Manager Racket Sports at STIGA Sports, added: “The 20% greater sweetspot in conjunction with the blistering acceleration is an incredible benefit of the Cybershape mould. As you hit harder and faster shots, you get tremendous power and forward assist that gives you a sense of total control, despite the high speed. The combination of speed and control is, I dare say, a unique feature of the Cybershape racket.”
