With the British padel world descending on Rocket Padel, Bristol, over the coming days for the FIP Silver R3 Bullpadel Cup, we’ve spoken to some of the UK’s best players to get their advice for improving your game. Over to you Christian, Nikhil, Sam, the Padeltwinz, Catherine Rose, Chris Salisbury and Olly Cull for 12 top padel tips from the pros.

Top Tip: The best advice I can give to someone starting out is that the most important thing to improve is ball control and control of your body when hitting.

 

The best advice I’ve been given?

With hard work, anything is possible. You just have to focus on improving your daily routine and doing things as well as possible to achieve the best version of yourself.

Top Tip: The glass is your friend, try to use it as much as possible as it will make you a better player in the long run.
 
The best advice I’ve been given?
If you’re nervous in a match try to practice your shots any way as you can work on your mistakes but if you are just pushing the ball in you can’t practice that in training.

Top Tip: Play soft, the harder you hit it the harder it will come back!

It’s all about the footwork.

Top Tip: In padel you have to survive to win, consistency is key.

More than half the battle is mental, you can have the best technique but if your mind slips so does your game.
