Wilson’s updated Blade padel racket range goes on general release today (July 22), offering varying levels of weight, stiffness and performance.
The new Blade V3 line-up features what Wilson describes as ‘cutting-edge technology and superior craftsmanship’ suitable for both amateur and professional players.
There are three teardrop-shaped rackets in the range:
– The £250 Blade Pro V3 has a carbon fibre face and firm EVA foam core.
– The £220 Blade V3 has a hybrid face and firm EVA foam core.
– The new £175 Blade LS V3 is a lighter (355g) racket that offers more comfort thanks to its fibreglass face and soft EVA foam core.
All three have Wilson’s ‘advanced hole-drilling process’ which it says generates increased bite with every stroke and a hole pattern to optimise power and control from different parts of the racket; larger diameter top holes provide more power on overheads, while smaller holes on the bottom provide enhanced spin and control for defensive shots and volleys.
The Pro and V3 offer players more power and stability due to a firmer and more responsive feel on impact when compared to Blade V2 rackets. Wilson has also reinforced both rackets heads to improve durability.
“We are thrilled to launch the new Blade V3 range for the padel global community. We continue with our commitment to bring innovative products and inspiring stories to enhance the game,” said Iñaki Cabrera, Global Padel Director for Wilson, adding: “We are also very excited to see Javi Garrido, top 11-ranked player in the International Padel Federation (FIP), showcasing the Blade v3 Pro at the highest level of competition.”
